ISA International School of Guangzhou aims to support each student’s intellectual, physical, social and emotional development in a safe, stimulating learning environment. ISA is a Candidate School for IB PYP and aims to introduce MYP and IB Diploma over the years from 2016-18.
ISA places the highest value on outstanding academic performance. It delivers the National Curriculum of China jointly with international programmes, from Kindergarten to Grade 9 (2016); Grade 10 (2017) and Grade 11/12 (2018/9). The curriculum is a rigorous academic programme that blends higher order, creative and critical thinking with the development of memory and other cognitive skills. High expectations and a positive climate provide the best environment for students to attain academic success. Progress is monitored closely using the latest technology tools to track students’ performance. Teachers provide a stimulating, inquiry-driven learning environment for students to thrive. Technology is enhanced to provide additional online learning at home for all year levels. ISA students are prepared for pathways to higher learning, including entry to the world’s top universities.
